Director Controlling (M/F/D)

In your management role, you will lead the department and, together with your team, be responsible for the planning, management and control of financial processes within the company. Through sound analyses, you will support strategic decisions and make a significant contribution to optimising the company's performance.

The Berndorf Band Group is the global leader in the production of Steel Belts and Steel Belt Systems. Operating in Asia, Europe, and North and South America, the group consists of the parent company Berndorf Band, eight subsidiaries and worldwide partners.

Your future area of responsibility

  • Personnel and technical management of the controlling department (production, sales, investments)
  • Project management for M&A (e.g. due diligence) and strategic cooperations
  • Further development of operational, strategic and investment controlling
  • Forecasting, budgeting and ad hoc analyses
  • Identifying potential for improvement in the areas of production, sales and investments
  • Business management support for international subsidiaries
  • Permanent contact with management and executive board, direct reporting line to the Group CFO
  • Close collaboration within the central finance team and with the decentralised controllers and managing directors of the subsidiaries


What you can inspire us with:

  • Degree in business administration (university/university of applied sciences, preferably specialising in finance/controlling/M&A)
  • Several years of relevant experience in controlling in an industrial company or in a management consultancy
  • Management experience and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in project management and investment controlling
  • Experience or high interest in M&A and transformation projects
  • Very good knowledge of German + English and good SAP skills
  • Analytical and networked way of thinking as well as organisational talent and strong affinity for numbers
  • Interest in the further development of innovative business models
  • Good understanding of corporate processes and willingness to travel internationally
  • Empathetic team player with strategic vision and adaptability
