The Impact of a Double vs Single Belt Cooler
ChemPak uses four Single Belt Coolers to manufacture specific size pastilles or flakes for a variety of products. The Double Belt Coolers are used to create flakes only. With two double belt units currently in place, ChemPak can process, cool, and efficiently produce high viscosity materials into a flake form. The product breaker promotes uniformity of the flakes.
Nicro 12.1 Steel Belts for Chemical Materials
The Nicro 12.1 Steel Belts in service at ChemPak are recommended for the use of chemical raw materials such as waxes, resins, powder paint, hot melt adhesives, and sulphur. This steel type has an extremely smooth and flat surface, making it resistant to corrosion.

BernDrop® Feeding Device: Solidifying Success
As part of the production line, the feeding device is attached to the Single Belt Cooler. The BernDrop® is a pastillator that has a perforated shell and a heated refeed bar. The product is pumped through a continuous material flow into the inner chamber of the BernDrop® pastillator, the stator. The predistribution pipe as well as the seal and metering bar distribute the material uniformly over the entire production width to the rotating outer shell. This equipment used by ChemPak promotes pastilles’ uniformity and improves the product yield and its quality.
