We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager for our subsidiary in India, Berndorf Band India, to join our Team in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Reporting to the Vice President - Sales and Service at Berndorf Band India Pvt. Ltd., you will oversee sales and service operations across India, including belts, machines, and spare parts. Your focus will be on driving sales growth, ensuring customer satisfaction, and expanding market presence through strong customer relationships and market penetration.

Your future area of responsibility

 

  • Market & Product Expertise: Understand market trends, competitive environment, and key success factors for BB-Group’s products and services
  • Customer Relationships: Develop strong relationships with major customers to ensure mutual growth and strategic advantages

 

Sales:

  • Secure and grow customer orders through a relationship-based approach
  • Demonstrate products and services, assisting customers in selecting suitable solutions
  • Analyze market trends and negotiate contracts
  • Maintain and expand business relationships within assigned market segments
  • Develop proposals and quotations for new and existing customers
  • Address customer issues in coordination with Product Management
  • Provide insights on customer needs, competition, and business opportunities
  • Represent the company at trade shows and conventions

 

Service:

  • Prepare service offers, protocols, and invoices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning at customer sites
  • Promote spare part sales through proactive management
  • Coordinate service technician deployments
  • Handle warranty claims and customer feedback efficiently

 

WHAT YOU CAN INSPIRE US WITH:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering (BE Mechanical/Production)
  • Candidates with a Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering plus a BE degree will be preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a production company
  • Experience with conveyors, rotating equipment, and heat exchangers is highly valued
  • Market knowledge in Chemical, Baking, Food, or Wood industries
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on approach, and process orientation
  • Fluent business English and willingness to travel are mandatory
