Food production processes place special demands on production equipment. Berndorf Band Group Steel Belts withstand these enormous mechanical and thermal stresses in the various processing steps. Our dimensionally and surface stable Steel Belts for the food and baking industries have been tested for food conformity in accordance with the current standards (EC) No. 1935/2004 and (EC) No. 2023/2006. The smooth belt surface meets the most strict hygiene requirements essential to food production, and is also abrasion-resistant which facilitates cleaning of product and grease residues.

COOLING, FREEZING, BAKING, STEAMING, DRYING, TRANSPORTING. Whether cooling, freezing, baking, steaming, drying, or transporting, the Steel Belts of Berndorf Band Group always retain their flatness and shape – no matter how often the temperature changes. 

Frequent temperature changes and a high number of load cycles demand a Steel Belt that always remains in perfect shape. CARBO 13 is the perfect material for the baking industry. The dark surface enables optimum heat transfer, guarantees consistent product quality and withstands temperatures of up to 400 °C | 750 °F. Depending on the product, perforated Steel Belts can also be used in the baking industry.

Perforations. Steel Belts are required when air needs to circulate around the product or vapor must be released, especially on the bottom side. Both edge areas and the cross-welding seam area are excluded from the perforation to ensure the strength of the Steel Belt. Perforations are generally possible for belt thicknesses of 0.6 – 1.6 mm | 0.024 – 0.063 in.
